Diet Trends That Don’t Work

This year I want you to look yourself in the mirror and have a good honest discussion with what it is that you want. If you are trying to lose weight or get fit, then awesome. Good for you. However, don’t follow those silly diet trends that are always happening just because they are trendy. in fact, avoid them like the plague if you can.

The diet trends that don’t work all have a few things in common. They are oversold, they promote unhealthy attitudes towards food, and they tend to demonize particular aspects of food and nutrition. The worst of all of these is the constant demonizing of fat and possibly carbohydrates, but fat being “evil” is one of those things that society just can’t get over.

The truth is that fat is something that is naturally part of food. It is more calorie dense, but your body needs some fat to maintain various organs and body systems. That is a fact. Low fat foods won’t make you skinny.
